Last Day
Today is my last day at the BBC.
I've been working there for five and a half years. Whatever way you look at it, that's a very long time. 68 months. 2075 days. 4 job titles. 2 departments. At least 16 different desks in 6 different buildings. Hundreds of interesting projects. Thousands of meetings. Hundreds of thousands of emails. Millions of pages using code I've written. Too many brilliant, passionate people to count, let alone list here (but they know who they are).
I'm really going to miss the place.
But every so often you get an opportunity that you just can't turn down.
So I'm taking next week off to catch my breath, tidy the flat, finish off a few side projects, and write a conference paper.
And then the week after I start working for the Technology Development Group at Yahoo!, with Bradley, Chad, Caterina, Jeremy, Tom, Simon and co.
It's all very exciting.
