Techa Kucha Night
Last night Steve put on a small techy event in London based on the Pecha Kucha format. The idea is simple - each presenter has 20 slides, with 20 seconds per slide.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it didn't disappoint. Every presentation was good - covering a range of subjects including some outside the usual discussion of web technology. In particular it was great to finally get a chance to see Alex McLean talk about livecoding, and Matt's automated Sudoku solver was just awesome.
I gave a quick talk on the idea of "constraints". The slides are available, although as usual they won't make much sense without the speaking notes (which I lost thanks to a computer crash).
It was a really interesting evening - an entire future-looking conference packed into 2 hours. Hopefully it will be repeated soon.
